Photo must have been taken by the individual who posts it (you can have help posting your images though).
Photos may have been taken during any year, but must be Winter shots.
You may submit up to five different images each month.
Submissions will be accepted through April 30th, 2008.
Photographers retain full rights to their photographs.

When posting, please refrain from posting HUGE image files. An ideal size is 640 x 480. Directions on how to resize images and how to post them, can be found at:
http://bwcaboard.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=223

It would be great if you can share as much information as you can about the photo.

Prize:
The contest winner will receive a five day Kevlar canoe rental courtesy of Voyageur North Outfitters. The winner will also receive a copy of White Woods, Quiet Trails by Andrew Slade.
Your winning photo may also be featured on websites and in local newspapers.

Get out there and take some great winter pictures and post them here. I can't win the contest, but I'll share a few pics anyway.

Thank you for all your entries. This month for judging in both the April contest and the Winter contest, I first got opinions from several individuals and photographers, and then the top pics were judged by a professional photographer, Lew Wurdeman. Lew is owner of 360 Minnesota Virtual Tour Photography (http://www.360minnesota.com)and Photgraph Events (http://www.photographevents.com). He is also member of the Professional Photographers of America and the Photographic Society of America.

The runners up for the Winter contest were the snowy pines with the dramatic blue sky by Ethan G. Knuti, and "First Snow" by Ken Hupila. The winner of the Winter contest was "Hoar Frost" by Ken "FinnBay" Hupila. Congratulations Ken!

Thank you everyone for your wonderful entries.
