London Rd. in both directions: Road closed at N. 43rd Ave. E. in Duluth. The road is closed because of flooding.

11:06 AM MNDOT:
MN 61 in both directions: Road closed between Lake County Road 3 and Lake County Road 106. (2 miles east of the Two Harbors area). The road is closed because of flooding.

11:01 AM MNDOT:
US 53 in both directions: Road closed between MN 194 and St Louis County Road 6 (near Duluth). The road is closed because of flooding.

06:36 AM MNDOT:
MN 61: Road closed between I-35 (Duluth) and Lake County Road 21 (Two Harbors - east limits) (Two Harbors). The road is closed.

MNDOT 11:25AM
US 2 in both directions: Road closed.between St Louis County Road 835 (near Floodwood) and St Louis County Road 847 (4 miles west of the Brookston area). The road is closed because of flooding.

MNDOT 10:53AM
MN 33 in both directions: Road closed between Saint Louis County Road 6 and US 2 (1 mile north of the Cloquet area). The road is closed because of flooding.

Erik, just had a customer try taking 35 and getting to 73 but both 73 and 65 are closed.

They are now driving Hwy 18 to 169 and taking that over to Ely. Poor guys, they'll have an extra hour or two at least, of driving.

Other customer took 169 from by Mpls and have had no detours or troubles. Not taking them that much extra time like the detour ways are for other people.

MN 200: Road closed between MN 65 and US 2 (15 to 24 miles east of the Hill City area). The road is closed because the road surface has collapsed.

MN 73 in both directions: Road closed between Carlton County Road 125 and Saint Louis County Road 822 (4 miles north of the Cromwell area). The road is closed because of flooding.

MNDOT 06/20/12 07:59PM
I-35 in both directions: Road closed between Exit 216 (near Barnum) and MN 210 (near Cloquet). The road is closed. Until today at about 8:00AM CDT.

last updated 9:30 a.m., 6-21-12) Take care driving in and around Duluth. Flooding is making many roads hazardous. The following highways are closed:
Interstate 35 between Hwy 210 and Mahtowa, northbound lanes are open, detour is in place for southbound lanes

Hwy 2 from Floodwood to Brookston

Hwy 2 from I-35 to Boundary Avenue in Proctor

Hwy 23 from Hwy 39 in New Gary Duluth to just south of the St. Louis River in Fond Du Lac, completely closed evacuating the community.

Hwy 33 at milepost 9 near Independence

Hwy 61 at Knife River, detour in place

Hwy 65 eight miles south of McGregor, under two feet of water, detour in place.

Hwy 73 west of Moose Lake
Hwy 73 north of Cromwell
Hwy 73 at County Rd. 61 at south end of Moose Lake
Hwy 73 and 27, west of Moose Lake at the exit, closed, under water

Hwy 200 between Hwy 2 and Hwy 65, open to local traffic only

Highway 210 from Carlton to Duluth

Hwy 210 four miles east of McGregor, detour in place

Interstate 35 and Highway 61 are open for travel to Duluth and the North Shore of Lake Superior. The only detour in place due to flood damage is on State Highway 61 in Knife River. The detour is very short. Motorists can avoid the detour completely by using County Highway 61 which runs parallel to State Highway 61 (the old North Shore Scenic Drive).

Please Note: Highway 23 in the Fond du Lac area is closed due to flood damage. Please check 511.mn.org for updated information about this route to the Duluth/North Shore area.
