I have not used any outfiter but arranged everything my self. I have been Winter Camping in the BWCAW for 4 years. Found it better to do my own research and use my own gear.

The best way to find someone who does outfitting for the winter in the Ely area is to call the Ely Chamber of Commerce at (218) 365-6123.

Ely Chamber is a good place to start. I don't think any of the summer outfitters play in the winter camping game. They leave most of that to the dogsledders like Paul Schurke or Kelly Murphy.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
