Intro to Snowshoeing
Golden Eagle Lodge Thursday February 28, 10 AM

Strap on some wood or high-performance snowshoes. Learn the
differences and applications for both. Then try out the Lake Trail
for beginners or the Big Foot Trail for more adventure. Snowshoes
provided, first come basis. Come early if you need snowshoes.

Reserve snowshoes for a $5 non-refundable deposit. 218-388-2203

Gunflint Pines Resort 8 AM-8 PM Complimentary use of snowshoes.
Gunflint Lodge 8 AM- 8 PM
Always wanted to try snowshoeing but never had the opportunity?
Here it is. Trek at your own pace on the Big Foot Trail at Golden
Eagle, or try the trails at Gunflint Pines. Tromp around amongst the
deer. Tackle the open tundra of the lake. Park and check in at lodge for
complimentary map.

Snowshoe Obstacle Course
Saturday, March 1, 11 AM- 1 PM

Gunflint Pines Resort Challenge your snowshoe skills and have
fun, too, on the snowshoe obstacle course. Strap on a pair and trom
through the course: forwards, backwards, over, under and around.
Fun for the whole family. We’ll provide hot chocolate when you are
through. Timed event; Winners will be announced at the Banquet.

Winter Tracks Snowshoe Trek
Gunflint Lodge, Saturday, March 1, 2 PM

Trek on snowshoes and check for animal tracks along the way. The
trail will take you up to Lonely Lake and back. John Silliman, the
naturalist at Gunflint Lodge, will be your guide. The trek takes about
one and a half hours. Bring your own snowshoes, or rent a pair at a
discounted rate.
