Two flowers got looked up this week – either they were new to us – or we had forgotten them – or we just didn’t bother about them before: Sweet-William Catchfly Silene armeria. It looks similar to Deptford Pink. The second one certainly is not showy – Rough Cinquefoil Potentilla norvegica.
We first drove around town enjoying the beautiful gardens in town then we looked at the Indian Paintbrush & it was still blooming. The Pipsissewa are still blooming on Bally Creek. The Asters & Goldenrod are beginning – is fall not far away? Other things we saw blooming were: Joe Pye, Fireweed, Bird’s-foot Trefoil, Rabbit’s-foot Clover and the other clovers. Black-eyed Susan, Canada Thistle, Tansy, Yarrow, Daisies, Alfalfa & Buttercup.
Another Lovely Day.
