There are many great wildflowers on the Gunflint Trail this week. We still have some of the pink lady’s slipper in places, but there are also have some fascinating new plants such as the one-flowered wintergreen.
One thing to note is the start of the fruit season. Many of the strawberries are ready, and the Saskatoon berries, blueberries, bunchberries, and dewberries are very close to being ripe.
