How is the fishing and what is the best month to plan a fishing trip for walleyes, smallmouth bass and northerns?

It all depends upon the spring weather but June is usually a pretty good month for all the fishing. It is also a good month for bugs so be prepared. Walleye opener in 2010 is May 15th.

A common quote is "when the bugs are biting, so are the fish"! :-)

Spring is indeed the best time for fishing. If we have a late spring, then the fishing will be the best around Memorial Day weekend or the week just after. If a "regular" spring, then a week earlier can work nicely.

Smallmouth hit pretty fiercely in late June & you'd get lots of action. This year in early July the northern pike were hitting on the "other fish" that people were reeling in, that is a fun time of year too.
Not to commercialize, but just to let you know I am one of those "outfitter types" :-)
